Spencer Pryse.The art historian Martin Hardie (1875-1952) was Curator of Prints and Drawings at the Victoria and Albert Museum in the 1920s and 1930s. He served in the army during the First World War, where he attained the rank of captain, and as an air raid warden during the Second World War. His personal work includes almost 200 engravings and 25 sketchbooks. The writer, poet and printer Arthur K. Sabin (1879-1959) is best known for developing London's Bethnal Green Museum, now the Museum of Childhood.
